We bag up the contaminated loft insulation in large rubbish sacks, which are taped and transported outside for disposal. During the whole loft clearance process all the flooring leading to the loft will be protected and the loft hatch sealed. This phase involves the removal of all the debris associated with the pest infestation such as droppings, carcasses, nesting material and chewed materials. These disinfectants are applied through sprayers and a ULV (Ultra Low Volume) machine. This machine generates a fine mist of disinfectant that travels on air currents to the most inaccessible of places within the loft space. Once the loft is clean and disinfected, we expertly install high-quality, energy-efficient insulation materials. We follow the latest Government recommendations and insulate to a minimum of 270mm. This involves laying of a 100mm base layer between the floor joists, over which a top-up layer of 170mm is laid at right angles to the base layer.
